New this year! Quilts at the Nativity Exhibit!

After receiving some very special quilted donations and hearing interest expressed by many others, we are very excited to announce the 2013 Nativity Exhibit & Music Festival will include a Quilt Room!

The Quilt Room will contain quilted displays that reflect a Nativity or Christmas theme.  We have received several of these items in the past and are thrilled to have a dedicated space for them this year!  You will find the Quilt Room on the east side of the building.

If you or your organization would like to loan quilts for this special event, please contact a Public Affairs Representative or email me at kingwoodlds@gmail.com.

Remember the Pioneers

"I share the feelings of President Heber J. Grant, who said, "I can never think of  [the pioneers] but I am full of admiration and gratitude, and utter a prayer to the Lord to help me, as one of the descendants of that noble band, to be loyal, to be true, to be faithful as they were!"

~ M. Russell Ballard, October 1996

Be Good Citizens

"May we be good citizens of the nations in which we live and good neighbors in our communities, reaching out to those of other faiths, as well as to our own.  May we be men and women of honesty and integrity in everything we do."                                                               ~Thomas S. Monson, October 2008 General Conference

Potential Eagle Project

The City of Houston, Compassionate Houston, and the Coalition for the Homeless are working together to address the needs of the homeless here in Houston. The city is increasing the housing units for the homeless and is looking for help providing toiletries and other household necessities to help these individuals when they move into a housing unit. They have put together a list of items needed.

This would be a great Eagle Project. If interested please e-mail Jamie Johnson, Kingwood Public Affairs Director, for the contact information and the list of items needed. The e-mail is ipmvision@hotmail.com.
